I was updating my blogroll few days ago and realized there are some blogs that has not been updated for ages and yet they still occupy a place on my Google Reader.
There are blogs that I seldom or never drop any comments on. Yet, I still follow them religiously.
And then those blogs that has frequent updates but I seldom comment on. Yet they are still in my blog list (of which I’m still figuring to delete or not).
I wonder why they are on my list?
I mean, there are times when I check on my Google Reader only to scroll down quickly to every blog (so that the update link shows I’ve read it) without even bothered to hop over their blog.
And I wonder why.
So yeah, why do I put you on my blogroll and stalk your feeds?
These are my findings…
1) You Are Interesting; I Am A Busybody.
Most often when I leave comments, that’s because I feel what you typed. When you blog certain interesting stories about your life, it’s like reading a secret being told. Literally. And I too want to share a piece of my secret that is similar to what you typed. When you are too secretive i.e. rambles about something bad that happened but kept every details zipped, that’s a sure turn off for me.
2) You Are A Sophie Kinsella!
You are able to put words together articulately. You could tell story in a way I feel like I’m in it. Your choice of words are very interesting. You include humor as part of your writing. In short, you are a good writer and I definitely enjoy it as much as when I was reading Sophie’s books.
But yeah, most often when I stumbled upon new blogs, the first thing that caught my attention to read more (besides the story) is how the blogger put words together in their entry.
3) You Are My Friend, It’s An Obligation
Well, not really. But when you have been constantly posting interesting stuffs that surely bring to my attention to keep reading and leave comments regularly, when comes your next post, it feels weird to not leave a comment.
4) You Respond.
Usually, I love keep coming back to blogs that reply to their reader’s comments. When I leave a comment, it’s only natural that I expect it to have feedback from the blog author. So yeah, replies make me a regular on your blog. If you don’t, hence the lack of my presence in your blog. Of course, there are some exceptions to blogs that didn’t usually reply to their readers but I still haunt them. Well, only a limited few lah.
5) You Are My Regulars; Show Courtesy.
It’s true when you visit me often, I will do the same to you. When you leave comments, your foot print (URL link) is there for me to trace back. It’s an easy click away instead of waiting for Google Reader to load up or open my blog roll page to check each and everyone of you.
6) Yours Are Just Too Irresistible.
This is especially to blogs that I NEVER leave comments and yet still follow silently. That means your blog has VERY interesting stuff to read OR you are a celebrity. You know how one can be very nosy when it comes to celebrity, right? But I don’t keep tap on VERY FAMOUS celebrity’s blog (Read: Angelina Jolie - does she even have a blog?). I find their blogs too overwhelming. This point is referring to blogs such as Kenny Sia, Jojo Struys, Daphne Iking..you know, our local celebrities. I follow their blogs but I don’t leave comments cos I fear I might be lost finding my comment amongst those many comments from their fans.
7) Definitely the pictures.
As I am fond of ogling at photos (of me and others), I enjoy my stay at blogs with lots of beautiful pictures to admire. If you have beautiful pictures to share, I will definitely be a bee, flutters excitedly on your site. 
So, that’s seven Whys for you.

A perfect stranger kind of type… England balik rumah trus ko banyak masa kemas2 blogroll kan 
Hahaha…I didn’t actually watch WC. I was on FB while ‘listening’ to the match…only go see when ada goal. I got score updates mostly from FB.
ANd I am no England fan either. Not any football clubs even. Si Alvin tu yg England die hard fan hahaha.
Err last time, you fell on my ‘no updates but still on blog list’ category. Now no more lah since rajin sdh ko meng update blog hehhe

Sometimes I try to make some sense to myself to some blogs that I feed on. XD and I have the tendency to go back to some of the blogs I read religiously coz I love keep going back and I love em ppl too
But some blogs are just omg how should I put it, too boring for me to read that I skip that whole thing. tl;dr
Mas, I try not to stay so long on your blog cos your food post always makes me lapar. Hahaha!
Like having friends, there are those that we can click well and those that we dont. SO I guess the same thing goes with blogs la kan

For me, blogging is a hobby and so it is reading others blogs. No obligation.

Uh…i’m not in this blog list. Maybe i should stop visiting. Hahahah…just kidding.
Err…i have to confess that I have deleted a few blogs that have not been updated for months and those who have never bother to visit my blog. Before deleting, I would always check my nuffnang account to confirm that this person has not visited my blog.
I may sound bad, but since blogger friends are piling up, I have to pay more attention to serious and loyal bloggers. If they read my blog then I should repay them by being loyal to their blogs too. It is fair enough right? Hahahaha…

Moi, how true! in my case, these days I seldom have time for myself, let alone updating my post regularly! My FB also suffers, i hardly post any comments. lately, work has been dictating my life. well, it is indeed a good thing if you have a silent follower. that means, your blog is an interesting read!
last week, a guy said to me (i loved that shoes!) I was like, okay…what shoes? he replied (the one in your blog. i also liked that black, strappy gladiotor!) I was like, huh..ok!
bloggers have life outside the computer perimeter as well. for me, i dont mind your lack of updates so long i know you still blog and i will still follow you on my list

I’m not going to ask what number am I coz I know I’m still a very “young” blogger :p but I love to read people blogs because of five things first I was inspired by what they wrote about, second I enjoy what they wrote, third I love the information they post, forth they make me smile and fifth of course same like your no 7, photos and pictures ;p
p/s: FYI I love your blog regardless you follow mine or not because it’s one of those inspired me to become a blogger too ;p
No worries about which category you are in. Those were just my point of view. But rest assure, your blog is one that I will keep for long. I may not be regularly commenting in your entries but when you do post something that gets into my attention, you will definitely see me leaving foot prints behind

Interesting post. Your post got me thinking why peeps drop by my blog and WHO drops by too. I feel comfortable sharing my uncensored thoughts with people I don’t know (and some close friends/people I do know like yourself) but it suddenly dawnned on me that it can be scary if some “busybody, multiply everything, gossip starter” relatives and friends read my blog (esp about my relationship/life).
Anyway I keep coming back here because of the “all of the above” reasons!
A busybody I may be but definitely not “an ill hearted, multiply everything, gossip starter”.
