Pigi pulau la…

Thursday 1537

During the two days that I was without voice, I had been struggling to fight frustration.
For not able to convey my lesson properly. And. To carry normal conversation.

I tried to refrain myself from talking so much cos it would only aggravate my sore throat and prolong the voice-less period.
So in order to avoid pet talk, I stayed at my desk.
Besides, even if I want to talk, I couldn’t do without having to repeat a few times cos they couldn’t hear what I say.
And when I have to repeat, I have to raise my volume up.
That’s very annoying.

It wasn’t hard (to not talking) at first since I was recently given a task that most teachers would not dare take - Data Entry.
So I engrossed myself with the school’s laptop and mountains of student’s files to be updated.

But being a person who loves having people around, I felt lonely.
I felt isolated.
I felt jealous.
And when all that blend together, I started to feel depressed.

Well of course, I shooed those thoughts away cos I know I started it first.
I refused to talk. But I know, once I get to shout my lungs out again, I would be fine.

That was two days of not talking.
Imagine those people who chose to isolate themselves from others - not because they have voice problem, they are just not into socializing.

Not talking to others except when needed.
Not joining in activities that involve other human being.
Preferring to sit alone instead of being around people.

I know, that’s the life they want to live and I have no right saying it is wrong.
But, I can’t help feeling sad for them.
Don’t you?

By the way, my voice has recovered albeit still in ’sexy’ mode.
I was able to chit-chat with my colleagues better today and that really lift up my spirit.

The cough syrup was not evenĀ  5ml left in the bottle. Hubby said, “Alang-alang, kasi tongop saja dari botol bah”.

And thanks to you all for the well wishes.

Until next post!
*hugs*

last time when i had the same problem, i drank lots of lukewarm ’somboi panjang’ drink… i took berbotol2 cough syrup and lozenges also x effect. only somboi worked…haha

Somboi is asam boi lah kan? Actually, you’re right about the cough syrup. It didn’t stop my coughing altogether. Just make it temporarily stop during the night when i was sleeping. During day time, i dont dare take bcos very drowsy. So, memang batuk2 balik la.

No man is an island, no matter how he tries to me, someday, someone will find the island. :-)

As for me, my island is a 24×7 casino plus entertainment plus circus. Ole! :-D

Circus! *both eyebrows up*. I want to join! :D
