DIY Paper Confetti Cones

And that sent memories to one of the things I did during my wedding.
Paper Confetti cones!
I wanted to have confetti baskets but I feel having one was too ‘common’.
While browsing bridal magazines, I came upon a picture of paper confetti cone.
It looked oh so purrdy that I decided to do it myself.
After all, I had pretty much time to do these things.
During our wedding year, photography and DSLRs were not as ‘hot’ as today.
Even if there were talented photographers with photo-journalistic style, they weren’t as much talked about as today’s photographers.
So yeah, to cut the long story short, I didn’t have a photographer that was keen on taking details shot.
Therefor, my DIY paper confetti cones are not in my wedding photo album. 
The only wedding picture that has the paper confetti cones in it
My Maid of Honor was impressed by my DIY confetti cones and wanted me to do some for her wedding as well.
So, I did hers.
I used colored crepe papers cut into tiny squares to make the confetti which I think turned out better than the one I used during my own wedding.
And I managed to dig out some ‘left overs’ of the paper confetti cones in one of my Creative Boxes.

She will definitely become your Wedding Planner by default.
And.
She gets to do all these DIY wedding stuffs AGAIN!!

Exactly the words. I think they are too cute ala kitty the cat cute sampai tidak ngam mau pakai in weddings.

Too bad we’re miles apart, if not sure I’d get u to be my wedding planner.
Hmmm… Wouldn’t it (the confetti) get stuck everywhere (hair, dress, etc.)???
Yes, I encountered the same problem where the confetti got stuck on my hair, skin and dress. Then, I came up with a solution…by using crepe papers. They dont stick to surfaces easily like other papers do.

I never knew such a thing as paper confetti cones existed la … LOL!
You’re right about photographers from those days, they were so unlike the ones we have today.
I bet your wife would have known this ages ago.

Urmmm…i ever put some to mark our wedding anniversary here. When I was still with Multiply.com, I have an album for my wedding photos tapi sa sudah deleted the account.

Iya Nun… sa suka ninah gambar yg kena umban tu confetti. The blue hues from the confetti papers very nice owh. Yabahkan, kalau jadi daa tu…uishhh, kita sapu tu Keningau punya market…kunun la…hahaha

Wahhh.. u actually look forward to preparing for weddings?
I’m alwasy at weddings for the food..LOL!! of course to see my friends is the main reason.
I LOVE weddings especially close friend’s weddings. Yeap, normally weddings is the only time you get to see your long lost friends.
