One Year Reflections

Friday 1546

I guess, I NEED to do this.
List down all the things that coloured my 2009.

In January 2009, my first blog entry was about the overused question regarding my transfer to Penampang. Despite not being able to get transferred, I was all hopeful that the time will come. And it came indeed. As of January 2010, I am now teaching in SK Kibabaig, Penampang! Hurrah!

I also blogged about wanting to cut my coffee addiction which of course never succeed. BUT. I managed to fulfill my resolution to exercise more. Although, the last four months of 2009 saw me escaping from exercising, I still considered this resolution done. I went jogging at least twice a week, joined aerobic class and Jazzercise class. So, for 2010, this resolution will remain but with more determination. Didn’t I say I want to see myself having perky butt?

And then came the mane issue. I wanted to keep my hair long. Hubby wasn’t convinced I would be able to keep it past my shoulder.
But hey, I made it. Look at my hair now! I intend to keep longer.

In March 2009, a blogger friend passed away. Nimrodjo, you will always be missed by us. Rest in Peace.

In April 2009, for the first time since I bought Gentut, he and I were involved in a minor accident. Surprisingly, Gentut has been a star on my blog this year. Statistic on all Gentut’s post is amazingly topped the rest of my blog entries. Initially, I planned to replace him. I even got to 70% ‘Yes’ decision but as 2009 passed by, I feel a bit too heavy to leave Gentut. So yeah, as of today, Gentut stays.

I have always wanted a dog. Pure bred dog. So, in May 2009, Bam-Bam joined in the family. Not just another pet, but a really spoiled pet. Ha! As he grew, he has been driving us up the wall with his naughty antics. But, with that three dots on his face (two black eyes and one black nose), huge ears and docked tail, who would want to stop loving Bam-Bam?

I did not have any international travel plans in 2009. So, I decided to do Zoom Malaysia plan. So, in July 2009, I went to Kuching, Sarawak for the Rainforest World Music Festival. It was my first (spontaneous travel). And I intend to go again in 2010, not just for the festival but for the Rainforest Bloggers Meet as well. :)

As a blogger, it wouldn’t be complete without attending at least one blogger gathering. I have been telling myself to block the date for the 3rd Sabahan Bloggers Gathering no matter what date it falls on. So yeah, when the date was announced in August, I was all thrilled to block the date. This time, on Halloween Night. My first Halloween party!!!

I own a DSLR but I am not as passionate as others who owns one. I just like taking pictures so that readers will be able to enjoy reading my blog. However, as hubby is keeping up with his photography passion, I am, indirectly kept up as well. For the first time, I assisted him for AnnieMing’s wedding. I don’t say I really enjoy taking wedding pictures but given a chance I would still want to do it again. Wish granted, hubby is letting me assist him again for two of his wedding shoots for 2010. Yay!

And as a blogger myself, although this is not as big as being awarded an Oscar award, having my blog featured in Breeze issue 21 was something that I am really happy about. Rasa macam famous sekejap. Chewahhh!

November 2009 was the busiest month ever for me this year. Not just because of school related stuffs, but also with the SFX Reunion Sports Tournament. It was tiring, having to be there every weekend and not forgetting, having to play as well. But, all I can describe about the whole thing was FUN. Too bad that the Reunion Dinner had to be postponed to May 2010.

November is also the month I received good news regarding my transfer. And November is also the month I booked our 11 months in advance vacation to Perth. So yeah, there is something to look forward this year!

2009 has been very good to me.
I am very blessed for all these.
Just like what I have prayed during the New Year Mass, I pray for the same good year in 2010.
And I have a feeling, that this year gonna be a good, good year.
Yeehaww!

Until next post!
*hugs*

Three dots on the dog’s face (two black eyes, one black nose)= cute factor!

I also like that feature in Tenma. When I’m not wearing my glasses or contact lenses, all I see is a white fluffy thing with three dots on it. lol.

    Happy New Year, Chegu! :)

Hahahaha…thats cute. White fur ball with three dots! Post more of Tenma pleaseee :)

Bad news first.. the Bloggers@RWMF2010 is in jeopardy of not happening officially coz STB has a management change, and the new management is kind of ‘lokek’ to give out discounted tix as I heard. My email to the person in charge of the RWMF has yet to get any reply =( and the contact person I’ve been nego all this while isn’t with STB anymore =((

The good news: A friend (Mike) says he might be able to whisper something into the new ppl in STB. On another note, the RWMF is always open to the public, and we could always go hang out and make our un-official bloggers@rwmf and rename it RWMF:Beyond borders =P

Owh thanks for this info. Well ya, u are right. Even if no discount or free tickets, I will still go (if nothing forbid me from going la) for the RWMF and having fun with you all while watching the concerts :)

Let me start my 2010 comment from this post. I have to say I am happy for your school change, finally :) Kibabaig has a special place in my heart.. long story.. but as a starter, my passion with radio control hobby end up at Kibabaig Hill there.. as rock crawler.. hahaha.

I just saw ur entry on this…nanti sia pigi comment hehehe

but quite in sad moment for awhile there when u mentioned about our friend Nimrodjo .. he always always go to my blog and I still believe he comes and visit my abandoned blog. I wish his soul rest in peace.

    Bless his soul.

Same like you, u most of the time visit my blog if not always … so i wanna say thank you for the visit and all the worthy comments there :)
All the same to you papaJ…even if u jarang2 hop here but once you do, habis ko blast spam comment. THANK YOU!

last but not least here, congrats on all yer blog achievement and Gentut still survive :)
Yes, Gentut still rocking. Banyak rehat tu dia now :)

May the year of the Tiger bring good luck, prosperity and if possible, cute baby(ies) on the way.

Cheers, and all the best Carol. :)
