Not talking about being in denial and wanting to be twenty-one forever oukay.
It’s about my current ear-rings favourite.
Ear-rings?
Well, I was just over at Beaty’s and she was talking about how her skin is sensitive to metals other than gold when wearing ear-rings. Even the usual 925 silver jewelry could give her rashes. But I’m not surprise. Will elaborate on this later at the end of this entry.
Now, Selamanya 21 or by the exact brand name, Forever 21…. is actually my current favourite brand when comes to daily wear ear-rings. Most of you ladies would have known this brand so well, right?
I love wearing ear-rings cos I feel a pair of ear-rings works like a pair of eye-brows. They define my look. But, I dislike wearing gold albeit knowing it’s the only metal I know tolerates well with my skin, just like most people. I feel its’ color is too flashy for daily wear.
So for years, I left behind all my gold jewelries (tokens from mom, MIL and aunties) in the trinket box, not wanting to wear any except my three precious rings. Too flashy konon kan.
Until one day, 7 years ago, I stumbled on a pair of faux pearl ear-rings crowned on a silver bezel setting. The towkeh said it was Sterling Silver. And it was cheap. Barely 10 bucks. I bought and wore it for almost 2 years until one of the pair got lost. I still keep the other pair by the way. Best thing was, it didn’t harm my skin.
I went to the same shop to find the exact same pair but I was disheartened. The shop was not even there anymore. And so, I began hunting for cheap, sterling silver, bezel setting stud pearl ear-ring but futile effort.
Two years later, when doing Christmas shopping in KL… I saw them! Like many of them! Although not entirely looking the exact same ear-ring, at least I found something in replacement for the lost one. And like I said, they come in MANY!
They are 6 in 1 packaging and comes in different designs; pearl, diamond-like, black diamond-like and just metal stud. All at the price of RM20!

What I like most about this ear-rings, besides being cheap and all… it doesn’t irritate the skin around my ear. Also, it has this rubber stopper (besides the metal stopper) that I love so much cos I can wear the ear-rings with just the rubber stopper and not worrying about any irritating metal contact to my skin.

But, my supply of Forever21’s stud pearl ear-rings have run out of stock. You know lah, cheap kan. So it came off easily and chances of loosing one or both pair is so high that I have only one pair of pearl studs left.
So, my point is…if you are like me; Only-Gold-Suits-Me but prefer jewelry that is more subtle to the eye as well as affordable…go look for this ear-rings at Forever21. If by chance, you are in KL now and will be back to KK soon…help me buy a dozen of them! Ha, kidding.
Now, this is something I read and worth sharing…
Many people are allergic to silver jewelries because they are not usually pure silver. Standard metal used for silver jewelries are consist of the silver metal itself and copper. So, some people may get allergy to silver jewelry due to the existence of copper. Same goes to white gold. Nickel is some time added as element in white gold but nickel is toxic. So when people complaint that they get allergy reaction to white gold, it probably due to the nickel compound in it.
Why do most people tolerate gold better?
Gold is a transition metal which means it can be combined with other metals to form a new metal i.e. gold + silver = white gold. Among all the transition metals, gold is one of the least reactive element. Or in my own words, gold is a good-hearted metal. Tidak pandai cari gaduh sama orang lain. That is why most people can get along well with gold in its purest state.
That is probably why we keep hearing old folks say,“Pakai amas original, baru tidak kena gatal-gatal”.
Ha!

err,si Aki mau balik bulan 12.. so?? ha ha ha.. :-p.. hm,si Aki hantam ja pakai tembaga dulu,hidup juga.. nickel tia tau la ada ka nda.. susah juga kalau allergic kan?? ^_^.v..
Hahaha tida apa lah Aki, ada juga sudara yg buli tolong beli tu nanti. Aiseh, mcm tau2 saja si Aki ingin mau tolong.
Kulit ko memang lasak punya la ni Aki. Betul bah tida gatal2? Kalau saya tu, gerenti beberapa jam saja start sudah tu gatal2.

dulu ada juga bh ex-boy (fiancee sa LOL) kasi hadiah yang 925 punya sa pakai lebih dari 3 tahun yang satu patah n satu lagi sa masi simpan ni..okey seja teda gatal ni chegu..semua ok..sedangkan sa pakai yang RM5 punya anting kan pun ok seja ..tapi mcm 2/3 tahun ni baru ja pakai kan trus gatal2 ni…ermmm..ada yang pearl stud earring sa dulu murah n okeh but hilang juga..skg ada juga tapi ermm gatal neh kalau pakai..trus ada mau jadi kudis2 lagi..
ermm mau terai F21 la ni…d 1B ada kah ni ahh
Maybe ada kali yang element dalam tu yg tida ngam tus bikin gatal2 kan? Oh, F21 teda di KK oh.

Love the diamond like earring, I haven’t try the pearl design before, but they are so cheap! I love to try some and I am blessed that I don’t have allergies to silver but last time a bought a long silver color necklace, the silver color don’t suit me at all.. makes me look pale.. huhu..
Ya, that’s what thought when i first saw this. Murah eh!
Maybe certain skin color memang tidak sesuai pakai silver color jewelry kali kan. Kalo pakai gold, terus pop out…menyerlah gitu.

I used to love earring hunting… cari yang unik yang lawa, yang bikin macho, yang bikin nampak ganas… in the end i settle with simple one saja…
from 6 piercing now I only left with two… banyak betul pun bukan dapat muat semua… hahahaha
Uishhh yang bikin macho ah…eh u ever tried tu earring yang buli bikin basar tu earring hole. Usually tattooist selalu bikin ear piercing macam gitu. And the earring pun yang black saja. I thought that’s kinda cool altho not exactly on the part where the earring hole jadi besar la…

Yaaa bah.. my telinga pun kalau ndak pakai “amas original” macam berkurap terus jadinya! hahahahaha..
Syura was the one who told me to try the forever21 punya sebab she said it’s okay on her. She also bought the 6 in 1 punya. so nice!
Bah kalau i balik hujung tahun ni, i tapau some for you kalau u mau.. dekat jak tu forever21 in sunway pyramid.
Right now pun i really need to get some earrings.. my earring basahan skrg is gold plated with diamond studs my mom gave me as a present. sayang betul mau pakai hari2. tapi kalau ndak pakai, i takut tertutup pulak the lubang.

Yalah, you’re right about earrings especially yg kena bagi as present. Like now Im wearing ni forever21 punya earring, kalo hilang pun dont really feel sangat. Unless of course if it is the last pair la knowing the shop is not located here.

jarang sa kena gatal2 klu earring (lgpun jarang2 pakai kan)..tapi klu jam tangan la..klu beli yg metal2 confirm gatal trs tu kulit..n same goes with rantai leher, gelang kaki..ntah la ni kulit..mngkin skin type sa is “mesti-original” pnya kali..haha
oh sa kalo jam, mesti mau make sure it’s stainless steel, baru ok tida gatal. tulah kan, kulit mesti original mangkali ni hahah…

mau mengomen dulu.ni hehe, me too inda boleh pakai sebarang ni cepat gatal2. Tapi this brand memang ok. I tot its stanless steel baj ni, sebab kalau kena perfume pun nda pandai luntur tu warna. Kalau silver cepat luntur tu kalau kena perfume..
Bah pm ja me your add in sabah. Kalau sia jalan2 sana boleh sia beli. Ikhlas ni.. Hehe.

huuuuuuuuuuu.my skin can only stand for one hour to wear with silver or other than gold’s items. Sungguh mintapuji!
I still remembered last time during my teenage years, ba..manala ada duit mo beli emas, so pakai la some silver jewelleries. One day, one of the necklace ‘bite’ my skin. Punya la gatal, sengsara for more than one week kasi ilang the reaction. chis! from that time onward ,taubat sa mo pakai lama2 the silvers..huhuhu
Kalau skin yang sensitive, paling bagus go bare bah kan sheila…my only accessories skrg ni my ear-rings sama rings ja…kalau necklace pun kalo pakai gold, ntah kenapa pandai gigit kulit ni…trus pandai luka2 di leher. Haha

so bad we don’t have forever21 in kk right…i love the jewelries but haven’t got the chance to have ones from the store. huhu. i used to wear earrings before but i don’t know, suddenly i changed to pick up something nice for my neck & wrists..hehe..i’m collecting necklaces & bracelets ^^
Yabah, if they are here…sure you and i will be regulars there. Im not into necklace cos i dunno why when i wear one, it will ‘eat up’ my skin and ended having scars on my neck and near the collar/chest bones. I collect bangles too but only wear it on occasions.

Ya I like those kind of earring too! but sa nda mau kasi basar tu lubang piercing… ugly ni =.= but I really like those earring oh… but they didnt sell for like lubang utk normal punya =(
